In 2020, I joined forces with Amnesty International, UCLA Law and Film, and Crisis Action to create powerful advocacy films—one revealing the intimate, unjust story of a Pakistani Guantanamo Bay prisoner, and another championing the rights of Syrian refugees displaced by war. The former premiered at Amnesty’s Annual Assembly for global audiences and was integrated into an extensive policy advocacy campaign.
